This is what fuels my writing: the desire to help you see how very good, kind, steadfast, and true God is - even in our darkest days. I hope to strengthen your faith so that it sustains you through your own journey in life. Beyond the clever Instagram quotes, the often repeated “feel-good” verses, and your expectations of what you think you should believe, there is your very real life that begs for a very real faith to anchor you and keep your hope alive.  

Many years ago I had a sign hanging on my wall that read, “Faith isn’t faith until it’s all you’re holding onto.”  It was illustrated with a little bear dangling by one paw from a tree branch! That is the kind of faith I have needed at times to pull me through the valleys and the deserts, as well as to push me up onto the mountaintops - the faith that comes through when it is all I’ve had to cling to.
